Tuesday 7th January 2025 an interesting Reflection Reading

Tuesday 7th January brought an interesting Reflection duo, the Three of Swords & Eight of Cups combination instantly said to me….

Uh oh…..don’t get over excited about your new year vision, quite yet, it may take some time….I was always taught the three of swords represented delay, separation, absence.

In terms of today I felt I was being advised to bring wisdom to my heart, i.e. don’t run away with wishful thinking that everything is going to fall in place, rather the three of swords alerts me to the possibility that things indeed may not fall into place in quite the way I hope.  Things may take longer.  Beyond my comfort zone even. This may be a moment to use head over heart and delay gratification.  See blog on the Three of Swords.

Naturally I hastily pulled another card for a bit more explanation …the Eight of Cups, which is all about having come to a crossroads and deciding to head in a slightly different direction to follow our passion.  So that made lots of sense for the beginning of 2025.

It’s quite easy when things don’t come easily to be discouraged, so very good advice to bring wisdom to the heart, and consider the very good reasons, using head over heart.  Logic over emotion.  This immediately related to the response to my newsletter which I have invested so much time and effort.  Still these things take time.  And so today I am considered how to take the right action and at the same time not give up.   The three of Swords doesn’t suggest I have taken a wrong direction, more it refers to timing and the outside world. 

I am comforted though by the eight of cups as the figure in a red clock that suggests I am following my passing and heading in the right direction!
