An Online tarot reading can be just as profound and accurate as a reading in person…

Yesterday evening and this morning I did two online tarot readings that were just as profound and accurate as if we had been face to face. Both were with clients I had given readings to before, as it happens, but in my experience it makes no difference.

Both pulled the three of swords and indeed the three of swords turned up in the two card spread for this blog also, so it seems a moment to talk perhaps of a collective sadness and disappointment that many of us are feeling.

Sometimes life deals us a blow to the heart than can dishearten us deeply. The Three of Swords encourages you to bring wisdom and logic to the situation.

The 3 of swords and 5 of pentacles combined does not reflect ease and happiness rather they acknowledge the reality of a knock back, when things your heart desired aren’t going to happen any time soon. The three of swords acknowledges a squeeze of the heart, as disappointment hits, perhaps something you felt optimistic about isn’t going to happen after all…and now you are back with a reality check.

Sometimes delay, separation and absence, themes that are at the heart of the three of swords tarot card, can make us lose heart.  This tarot card says, actually, when you think about it and bring wisdom to your heart, there are very good reasons, you may not even know exactly what they are, but by bringing your wisdom, truth and integrity to your hurt will bring understanding and more acceptance, so don’t feel discouraged. Perhaps not now, but dont give up.

This card acknowledges that for all sorts of logical reasons, now is not the moment for emotional fulfilment, from another person certainly.   You are still in charge of your own heart however, which is where the five of pentacles comes in as a partner to the the three of swords.

The five of pentacles primarily says, don’t feel left out in the cold, don’t isolate, get yourself into the church, push open the doors and enjoy the warmth of the brightly coloured windows of the community of friends you do have.    Reach out.  Ask for help if you need it.  Make that phone call.  Don’t hide behind a text. Go into community.

The five of pentacles reminds us not to feel left outside in the cold but to follow the beckoning colourful stain glass windows and join the congregation. Reach out for support and community.

They might be feeling the same too.

I think all of us are feeling separated from life as we knew it, of peace, of security, of hope even.  It’s hard in the present circumstances to think about ourselves in isolation from the rest of the world.

Some of us are more conscious of how we are hurting.  Some of us not.  We are all part of the collective.

Reaching out to friends to see how they are, to connect, will go some way to soothing our hearts, seeing things differently, feeling less disappointed and sad.

Today I did a tarot reading for a lovely woman, and my heart went out to her as I could see how adrift she was feeling adrift from the life she dreamed of.  The three of Swords featured. However she pulled THE SUN for how the future would develop.   This is a card whereby positivity, energy, confidence to materialise what we want into the world can overcome grey days.

She also pulled the Death card.  The End of an Era and the beginning of a New.  Is that what is happening?  We all hope so.  But the birth canal is painful.

Good luck my friends.  And do book a tarot reading with me in Battersea or online if you would like insight and encouragement.  Tarot has a depth of meaning, kindness and wisdom that continually amazes me.
