Another powerful two card tarot reading…
Another example of a two card tarot reading that gave powerful clarity and a solution to a long term problem.
The question I was asking was ‘What do I do about something I was being asked to do but didn’t really didn’t want to do?’
I was planning to go along with the request, without any kind of caveat or show of reluctance as it seemed the simplest thing to do. Sorry about the ambiguity but it involves a friend.
To my amazement the card I pulled was the four of pentacles, which clearly says hold on, don’t move.
If you look at the picture on the card the man is holding one pentacle over his heart, another over his head and two more under both feet and so he is unable to move and keep hold of his precious pentacles (pentacles/coins/money).
So it was a clear NO do not extend yourself.
I stared at the card in total surprise, as I didn’t expect the Tarot to take this view. The repercussions of saying no swam circled in my mind, how would I say no, what would I say, what did it mean, and why not?
I decided I needed to pull a clarifying card. And I pulled the Hermit.
The Hermit is the ultimate card the represents Integrity. This is a man who knows himself, and can trust himself to follow his own light, his own instincts. They will lead him on the path that is right for him. He does not follow others. He has the integrity and self confidence to follow his inner wisdom and instincts
Well my instincts were being well ignored, they had been screaming I don’t want to do this? But what will happen if I say no?
When I received the Hermit I knew my integrity was being asked to step up to the plate. It was almost a relief to receive this advice and I immediately started writing an email saying no and explaining my reasons, especially how this situation was risking our friendship which I valued highly as my fear that being honest would jeopardising everything, as how I felt our relationship had been floundering over the last six months or so as I tried to keep quiet.
I wrote, my truth, as they say, as eloquently, kindly, tactfully, honestly and lovingly as I could and sent it.
And received an immediate response with huge thanks for my considered email and how much she appreciated my honesty.
THANKS TAROT. A genuine example of the genius of Tarot and daily how indebted I am to her support and advice.
