Tarot Reading for when you just don’t know what to do…
I think that hardest thing in life is not knowing what to do. When I know what to do, and what I want to do, life is so straight forward. I just head in that direction, one step at a time. I feel motivated and cheerful and positive. It’s when I don’t know what to do and I’m loitering in no man’s land that life drains out of me.
Being able to make a decision changes everything.
When we are torn between two choices, or have a situation which is so unclear and multifaceted, we just can’t decide what to do, how best to navigate the situation, so we do nothing. Except worry. And get more bogged down and more m’fangled, a favourite word of mine, which basically means my brain is a scrambled and I feel very ‘out of sorts’/unhappy generally.
Trying to gain clarity when its complicated….
Sometimes being unable to address a situation is not just because we feel overwhelmed but because life can be very complicated! Things are beyond our control, especially people; family members, work colleagues, partners, children you name it. There are spreads you can do in a tarot reading which can really help.
Also if you are a fellow worrier or procrastinator a reading can be invaluable to get you back into the flow of life. It may not be the answer to all your problems (let’s call them challenges for growth on this wonderful journey called life) however I can guarantee you a tarot reading will open up possibilities and bring back your enthusiasm for life.
Giving yourself the time and space to be able to make the right decision for you….
By booking a tarot reading you are booking some time for yourself, which is a not only a very necessary thing to do, it is also a kind thing to give yourself, some time and space to find our what you really feel and what is going on. Secondly if you book a tarot reading, it signals opening yourself up to open yourself up to possibility, and that on some level you do trust that, let’s call it the universe, will give you guidance your are looking for. There is a solution, there is clarity to be had…out there, and from a tarot reading.
After all these years, it is the hardest thing to ‘explain’ what happens when you have a reading. And I’m not going to try today, I’m just saying, if you’ve got anything that is giving you sleepless nights, or just something that’s bothering that you wouldn’t mind a bit of clarity on, or you are just curious, give a tarot reading a whirl. If nothing else the experience will leave you gaining trust in your own instincts and ideas.
Understanding ourselves and the fears that get in way of making decisions.
The reason I went to tarot was because I had absolutely not the first idea how to deal with what I thought was a huge dramatic terrible thing that had happened. On reflection of course 25 years later, its just life happening. And while I still think it is an outrage my brilliant television programme didn’t get the green light and was a giant error on the part of the new controller of ITV! how grateful am I it got me to a tarot class. “Tarot Class????” I exclaimed incredulously to my friend, who a man! “What on earth would make you think a tarot class would be a good idea on one of the most devastating days of my life let alone my career?!?”
Gaining clarity enables you to be able to take action.
Actually the reading didn’t give me more information particularly but it gave me much more clarity and so I no longer felt powerless. My energy returned. I do remember I got the ‘World’ on the actual script, so the teacher said it is perfect as it is, there is nothing you need to do, it is whole ….. the reading seemed to agree there was no getting round ITV and not a lot of possibility for the BBC, I don’t remember channel 4, I think I had a bad relationship with the head of comedy so I didn’t hold out much hope there, and that was it for television stations in those days….
Anyway my point is, I found what was happening in the class, the interpretation of the cards, and suits and the different meanings depending on the cards around them, all so fascinating, rather like writing any script, all the characters that influence the story line, people’s motivation behind the scenes you couldn’t quite see, the twists and turns of the plot were all in the cards, and in all the different readings I witnessed that evening. We were called guinea pigs as everyone was learning how to read. Annabelle our teacher luckily always gave her opinion, so you got the right steer.
As I write it has just occurred to me, the tarot card I pulled this morning for me to ponder on for myself and write about was the Queen of Wands. As I type I have to laugh as had no intention of writing about Annabelle. A wonderful tarot reader and teacher and human being. I still attend her classes, because I always learn something, the fellow class mates are all brilliant tarot readers, all bring their individual qualities. Annabelle is the quintessential Queen of Wands. Inspiring, passionate, independent, creative, charismatic, entrepreneurial, she is the Queen who inspires by the essence she offers us and life. She is not one to ‘molly coddle’ you, she’s not going to go ‘there there’ in a soothing way, she laughs a lot, she hoots with laughter when you get a ‘bad’ card….when you are told you might not meet Mr Right the next three months. Annabelle and her readings encourage you to stand on your own two feet, she says what needs to be said and empowers you. She is also wise and kind and very knowledgeable and if you are thinking of buying a property, go to Annabelle. https://www.annabelletarot.com
I owe so much to Annabelle.
Meanwhile please do come and having a reading with me in Battersea. Especially as Battersea might be more convenient than St. John’s Wood if you live in south London. It would be a treat to meet you. I’m not a Queen of Wands, more a Queen of Swords, logical and supportive.
