If you are feeling ‘stuck’ there’s a good chance the Four of Pentacles will show up in a Tarot Reading.
The Four of Pentacles isn’t the most exciting card to pull as a daily reflection card. And I pulled it yesterday.
If you look at the man in the picture he has one pentacle over his heart, another on top of his head and two under his feet; he can’t move in any direction without dislodging the pentacles, and he seems to be holding onto them rather doggedly.
The element of Pentacles is Earth and therefore they represent the physical aspects of our world, money, practicalities, society, health.
The Three of Pentacles, is all about making a plan, forming a solid foundation on which to build. The four follows and seems to suggest, stick to the plan, this is not the time to branch out, but to build on the plans you made. Consolidate.
At the moment I have a bit of a health challenge. So I am taking this card to mean keep building on what I am doing. Which in my case is my daily ‘practice’ of energy medicine, chi gong meditation.
However there’s no denying the four of pentacles isn’t a particularly cheerful card He doesn’t look happy clinging onto his pentacles. He looks decidedly ‘stuck’. So often in a tarot reading the four of pentacles turns up when we are feeling stuck; for all sorts of reasons, it can often be financial feeling the need to hold on to safety, money, health, position, perhaps fearful that we don’t have enough.
It’s not an uplifting place to be and so I did laugh when I picked up my notebook and for the first time noticed the front cover which said “You got this!’. The four of pentacles certainly looks like he has!
Then I heard a great tip on a podcast with Mo Gawdat who was talking about when you have a negative/challenging situation in life, go find 9 positive things about it. So I tried it. It was easier than I thought and fun. It’s funny how synchronicity encourages us in all sorts of mysterious ways.
Do come and have a reading with me in Battersea or online, WhatsApp or Zoom work great.
