The Empress in a tarot reading expresses Abundance
I know what the Empress isn’t…
She isn’t the kind of person who over think things. She doesn’t weigh up the pros and cons of a situation before she acts. She doesn’t worry. Would never hold a grudge. She isn’t a worrier. She doesn’t move cautiously through life. She isn’t someone who keeps herself to herself.
The Empress expresses Abundance with the symbol of Fertility by her side.
She is the mother of mothers. In Tarot the Empress has the qualities of all the Queens. She is Abundant, generous, creative, fertile. She gives birth to new possibility and harvests the good; the yield of her creativity. She shares her abundance.
I imagine the Empress to be a woman who embraces her curves, confident, generous, welcoming, sexy, sensual, mature. She embraces her maternal nature. A woman of wisdom and maturity.
Fecund. Fecundity, a word not often used has all the potency of abundant potential and creativity.
In a tarot spread about how to attract the love of your life, there is one card that represents ‘who you need to be to attract true love’.
And I pulled the Empress. Quite a tall order for me, as it is going to require a lot of letting go of rules, regulations, my own, made supposedly to keep me on track, keep me a good person, keep me productive, keep me safe.
The Empress sings, and laughs, and dances, she sways her hips, and takes her time, she is someone easy to hang out with. She envelopes you in her generous spirit and appreciation of the richness of life. She knows nothing of starvation, she would never diet. Her table is overflowing with food, she doesn’t cook just enough. She doesn’t mind a bit of waste. There is plenty where that came from. She doesn’t hurry through life with an agenda, clutching her to do list. There’s time for everything. She lives in abundance, she can afford to be generous with her time, herself, there’s enough for everyone.
She’s warm, relaxed.
