Having a tarot reading deepens connection to soul and self.
How do I read the four of wands in response to asking for some insight, comment, advice from the Tarot, about a health issue?
It is such a pretty and happy card. Beautiful yellow and a garland of flowers strung at the top of four wands like a flowering roof that connects four corners of a house, or the four poles of a tent. A couple are heading toward this ‘house’ waving bouquets in celebration it appears.
This card has always suggested a moment when all four corners of creativity, inspiration, ignite to create a place, a space from which you can grow and flourish. Quite often in a reading it refers to a happy home or a happy workplace, which is alive with creativity. The wands element is fire.
Considering it in relation to a health matter I pondered the four corners, perhaps they reflected the four pillars of health, if there is such a thing as four, making sure all four pillars were being observed.
Unsure of how to read it, I pulled another for a bit more information and received the Lovers. Choice, my choice, and asks the question which apple do I want to pick off the tree. In terms of this potential health situation it felt as if I was being reminded that at this precise time, the Choice was mine. What route did I want to take. Doctor, energy medicine, qi gong, breathwork, journaling, not to mention nutrition. The Lovers card reflects a moment when the Choice is ours and that also Divine Guidance is present, so look at for signs to help us in our choice.
I like the reminder that in life, it is our CHOICE what we wish to engage with, connect to, initiate…the choice is in our hands, thoughts and deeds in every action, word, in every day. We get to choose and are responsible for doing so.
I went to the doctor who immediately said I am going to refer you to the team who looked after you last time at the Chelsea & Westminster. Greatly heartened I felt the four of wands may even have been referring to the team.
That evening playing bridge with friends, we decided each to pull a card just for fun and to see any insight. I pulled the 5 of swords. Watch out. Make sure things don’t unravel. Make sure you cross the t’s and dot the I’s. There it the potential for misunderstandings! Of being over confident! Oh NO! a bit of a warning.
Did it refer to the doctor ringing me the following morning to say he had misread my notes and please could I come in to see him on Monday??? Or did it refer to a nagging thought that I needed to stop smoking (I had succumbed to more regular puffs of friends cigarettes and making my own rollies!). Or did it refer to needing to make amends with nephew Jack (as we had allowed an email exchange to exacerbate a misunderstanding). I am attending to all three!
Let’s see how things play out. All I can say is I find pondering the insights of the Tarot brings a different level of consideration and perspective and brings a deeper awareness, connection and nourishment to everyday life.
