A tarot reading for Valentine’s day….

So many of my clients who come for a tarot reading in Battersea want to explore how to find love. So because Valentine’s day is coming up I thought I’d demonstrate a simple four card tarot spread for this blog, and because I wouldn’t be averse to a romance myself, I did the reading on me!

I’ve called it ‘Sue’s looking for someone to do nothing with’ tarot reading, which perfectly describes what I’d like to add to my life, someone to share everyday stuff with, watch TV, cook together, walk, a best friend, someone I click with in an easy, harmonious, fun way. Tall order of course.

The reading seemed so accurate in terms of describing me, and what I might bring to a relationship, however the advice/best course of action card, DEATH made me laugh out loud.

Death, signalling the END of an era, goodbye to life as you know it, most perfectly describes what I am most resistant to and what will be most necessary for me to have a relationship.  I’m constantly saying to myself I like my life as it is, I would love someone to share some of it with but ......not have to let go of my way of life.

Here is the spread.

Card no 1 – PAST  (what you bring from the past that’s positive)

Queen of Wands – independent, creative, charismatic. (people often say to me, you are too independent for a relationship so I was glad this trait is also an asset in this reading)

No 2 – Present (what you bring now)

Knight of pentacles – responsible, solvent, making steady progress. I’d like to think a solid foundation for a friendship is a good thing, I didn’t get a card that suggests being overly needy or embued with negative feelings about past relationships and failures, which I wouldn’t have been surprised to get. The Knight of Pentacles describes someone who is making steady progress and has stable life….which might be a bit dull.

Add up the spirited queen of wands and the steady knight of pentacles, not a bad offering for someone? (my interpretation of course).

No 3 – Advice (best course of action)

Death – end of an era.

Say goodbye to life as you know it and hello to a new era .

Say goodbye to what doesn’t serve you. Time to turn the page on a new chapter.

I am keen to turn the page on some aspects of my life, and let go of certain patterns! Death has a wonderful dramatic feeling to it, END OF AN ERA! and I do understand the journey will be somewhat of a challenge to take on because I have a strong tendency to hold onto things as they are, that keep me ‘safe’ but not necessarily fulfilled. So the message is loud and clear.

No 4probable outcome (if you follow the advice/best course of action)

King of pentacles – good at finance, well established, someone who understands how the practical aspects of life work, in fact he is the king of this domain, money, position in society etc.

I’ve never been very interested in money, but I do enjoy the good life, so I’m hoping he’s not too establishment or conservative but rather very comfortably off with a wonderful beach house overlooking the sea…. please ….

Another way of reading the King of Pentacles could be I progress from the Knight of Pentacles to the King and become comfortably off and am able to afford my own beach house.

Either way the reading got me thinking about the new era I would like. And what I need to let go of!

Maybe I will meet Mr Comfortably off who becomes my ‘someone to do nothing with’ and have the relationship of my dreams…..we’ll see.

Tonight I’ve got two clients coming together to Battersea for a Valentine’s tarot reading, I wonder what the Tarot will say to them? Do have a reading with me sue b tarot.com here in Battersea or online via Zoom and WhatsApp. I found mine so helpful and rather inspiring.
