A Tarot reading can help regain your enthusiasm for life!
I don’t know about anyone else but occasionally I’ll have a day, typically a Monday, the start of the week, with a ‘to do list’ that is particularly long; it can feel a bit lack lustre.
This morning I turned to the tarot and pulled an advice card. The Knight of Wands. Now I always think of Knights as young men of action but not very good at ‘to do lists’.
Although ff I had got the Knight of Pentacles, I would have thought ok, a perfect card for tackling the ‘to do list’. It’s not exactly going to be the most exciting day ahead, but the advice is clear, carry on in a steady responsible way, approach each thing on the list in a practical manner, be methodical …and you will accomplish plenty. That’s what the Knight of Pentacles does. He’s reliable and accountable and moves forward slowly.
But my advice card was the Knight of Wands. A fiery young man or woman who follows his/her passion. I always think the knight of wands can be a bit selfish, charging about impulsively doing what she wants. If a client gets the Knight of Wands in a romantic spread, I often think well they’ll be exciting, they might even whisk you off abroad somewhere, but they might not be a stayer.
However thinking of who reminds me of the Knight of Wands I am reminded of a wonderful old friend; he was a force of nature, he had to be the most enthusiastic person in the world. He was so much fun, he had so much energy, he was so creative, interested in everything, so enthusiastic about life. He was also fabulously selfish, and easily bored, but when he was enthusiastic around you, you definitely wanted to hang out with him.
Enthusiastic and creative was his second nature. A marvellous combination. So I had to laugh, I was being told don’t approach the ‘to do list’ in your usual practical way Sue, get enthusiastic, follow your passion. So guess what after walking the dogs, four of them! Trumpet’s two daughters, and my sister’s dog Meri! And yes he is my passion. I chose to write this blog (which was way down on my ‘to do list’ …it‘s priority was more sometime in the next day or so…and now writing and I can feel my mood shift and my enthusiasm rise. I do love to write because I always discover something new and it is endlessly fascinating discovering all the different qualities and meanings in a tarot card. And I really hadn’t given enough appreciation to the most positive quality of the Knight of Wands before. Be enthusiastic and follow your passion. Enthusiasm is contagious, not selfish, it ignites others so the Knight of Wands can actually help make the world a better place by being fun and inspiring to others to follow their passion too. Enthusiasm gained does imbue the whole day. I’d never approached my to do list this way before. I’m certainly not feeling lacklustre and am feeling more enthusiastic about tackling something at the top of my list next.
Thank you Tarot.
